The works were carried out to best conservation practice standards including the principles of the Venice Charter.
The intention was to conserve original fabric including architecturally significant later additions and alterations from the 20th century.The existing balustrade has been restored and protected in order to maintain its character. The ground floor was levelled as so to achieve friendly use throughout.
The new single-storey foyer extension is an abutment to the original rear wall. It was intended that the wall could be clearly legible from within and without. Cladded in white fibre cement framing the entrance which has been complemented with charcoal aluminium door and windows.
The landscape and the parking complement the works for a new space within a historical setting.
